Integrated Distributed Ledgers (IDL) — the new transition! From technical level to public utility.
Ubikiri’s ecosystem has undergone impressive growth and development over the past few months. This progress has seen us evaluating the strategies for our deliverables and completely rethinking the company repositioning. We strongly believe it is time to build a name that better represents who we are and where we’re headed. A name that leaves no room for ambiguity. A name that speaks to what we are.
But just what is in a name?
Projects change their names for various reasons such as mergers and acquisitions or a transitioning. A change can also bring the name into alignment with the project’s mission, culture, and philosophy. The latter is the reason why Chain-in-Law (CiL) has been rebranded into Integrated Distributed Ledgers (IDL). It may seem like a small difference, but the shift is a significant one — and means our transition from technical level to public utility.
As you all know, CiL is an integrated distributed ledger, whose users are able to create their own custom blockchains (private, public), while remaining integrated among themselves at the network level, creating a single, peer-to-peer network. With this in mind, we decided to use a name which reflects the functionality of what we have built.
The move from CiL to IDL
Our company has continued to develop several innovative projects internally for our ecosystem, while courting several external prospects to onboard. These developments were built on the original Chain-in-Law (CiL) crypto platform and with the rebrand to Integrated Distributed Ledgers (IDL), the best is yet to come. We’re glad that our community has stood by us through thick and thin. Our mounting ambition and expanded capabilities is set to usher exciting opportunities for them through the various services being integrated into the platform such as our social network platform, Übikiri; SilentNotary for notary services; crypto scam legal aid platform, CryptoTribunal; BankstroyControl, a monitoring service for construction projects; Crowdfeeding, a (b2b) financial and HR service for GIG-projects, and Promobuzz for uniting task performers (scouters) on Crowdfeeding.
